PORTALES, N.M. - Eastern New Mexico University head football coach Mark Ribaudo has announced the signing of specialist Lee Penland (Hutto, Texas/Hutton HS) to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Hounds beginning in the 2010 season. Penland joins a strong recruiting class for ENMU.
Mar 14, 2010 Baseball Games Against Permian Basin Cancelled
PORTALES, N.M. - Eastern New Mexico University baseball coach Phil Clabaugh has announced the cancellation of the Greyhounds home games this week against University of Texas of the Permian Basin. The teams were scheduled to play single games on Monday and Tuesday. Although the games could be rescheduled at a later date, nothing has been announced at this point.

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS - Ethan Wagner's (Sr., RF, San Antonio, Texas/Cisco JC/Churchull HS) four-for-five performance led a late surge by the Eastern New Mexico University baseball team (13-12; LSC 11-9) as the Greyhounds rallied from a 10-2 seventh-inning deficit to post a 14-10 win over Angelo State (16-13; LSC 10-10) in the opening game of a Lone Star Conference doubleheader, Saturday afternoon at Foster Field. The Rams bounced back to claim a 24-3 decision in the series finale.

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS - Senior right fielder Alex Mayo Otis (Phoenix, Ariz./St. Mary's HS) batted two-for-four to extend her hitting streak to nine consecutive games, but the Eastern New Mexico University softball team (6-17; LSC South 0-3) dropped a 13-5 decision in the series finale to Texas A&M-Kingsville (9-11; LSC South 3-0); in Lone Star Conference South Division action, Saturday afternoon at Hubert Field.

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS - Senior right fielder Alex Mayo Otis (Phoenix, Ariz./St. Mary's HS) hit .714 and scored twice for the Eastern New Mexico University softball team during Friday's Lone Star Conference South Division doubleheader, but the Zias dropped 3-0 and 3-2 decisions to Texas A&M-Kingsville, at Hubert Field. With her five-for-seven performance, Mayo Otis extended her hitting streak to eight consecutive games, dating back to February 20, against Northeastern State.
