Richardson, Texas - Midwestern State advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II South Central Region championship with a 3-2 win over Truman Thursday in Wichita Falls, Texas.

MSU goals came from Dean Lovegrove, Bryce Taylor and Tex McCullough after both teams exchanged several opportunities. 

The Mustangs will host No. 2- ranked Colorado Mines at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday in the second round. Mines advanced by defeating Regis 5-1.
