Lone Star Conference champion Tarleton State had two first-team selections on the All-LSC volleyball team announced by league officials Wednesday evening at the LSC Championship banquet.
Tarleton, which finished with an 18-2 LSC record and is hosting the LSC Championship that starts Thursday, had six honorees. Hailey Roberts and Jordyn Keamo earned first team acclaim, while Adriana Darthuy and Hannah McManus were on the second team, and Amber Strange and Adrianna Knutson were honorable mention selections.
In addition, the TexAnns Roberts claimed Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year honors, while Keamo earned her second straight Setter of the Year award. Tarleton’s Mary Schindler was tabbed Coach of the Year for the third time.
Western New Mexico’s Heather Verrill was named Defensive Player of the Year, while Eastern New Mexico’s Andrea Aguilar took home Libero of the Year acclaim.
Texas A&M-Commerce’s Shelley Chapron claimed Newcomer of the Year distinction, while West Texas A&M’s Erin Clark earned Freshman of the Year honors.
Texas A&M-Kingsville had three first-teamers, while A&M-C and Angelo State each had two. The Javelinas Krystal Faison, Lexi Wick, and Madison Brabham; Lions Chapron and Jaslyn Wacker; and Rambelles Brianna Sotello and Morgan Seaton earned first team recognition.
ENMU’s Andrea Aguilar, WT’s Crystal Thomas, and WNMU’s Verrill were also selected to the first team.
A total of 38 student-athletes were recognized by the LSC postseason awards program. The all-conference honors were selected by the league’s head coaches.
