LSC Golf Championships: TSU, A&M-C claim titles

Tarleton State won its 10th Lone Star Conference women’s golf championship, while Texas A&M-Commerce won its fourth men’s title.  The annual league event was held on the Frisco Lakes Golf Course in Frisco, Texas.

On the women's side, the TexAnns went around the course at 19-over-par (299-296=595) led by Casey Wild, the individual medalist at one-under-par 143.  Beatriz Prados and Sarah Gee also finished in the top six for Tarleton.

West Texas A&M finished second (606), while A&M-C (613) was third.

Wild was joined by teammate Prados, A&M-C’s Anya Anders, and WT’s Ueakarn Look Yee Songprasert and Mattye Mason on the all-tournament team.

The Lion men finished 20-over-par (288-297-299=884) led by Hagan Wood, who individual medalist at one-under-par 215 (71-71-73).  A&M-C’s Wilfredo Sanchez, Garrett Landers, and Nick Louy all finished in the top eight.

Cameron finished second (894), while Midwestern State (895) was third.

The men’s all-tournament squad included A&M-C’s Sanchez, CU’s Noah Hasse and Dario Gabriel, and UT Permian Basin’s Connor Bjustadt.
