Midwestern State, Tarleton State, and Texas A&M-Commerce are 2-0 to start Lone Star Conference play.
League play continues with three games this week: Midwestern State at Eastern New Mexico, Tarleton State at Angelo State, and Western New Mexico at UT Permian Basin. In addition, teams are playing three non-conference games: Lock Haven at Texas A&M-Commerce, New Mexico Highlands at Texas A&M-Kingsville, and West Texas A&M at Central Washington.
LSC football teams are 16-18 overall this season. The squads are 2-3 combined versus the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams, which are also in NCAA Super Regional Four.

LSC FOOTBALL ON ESPN3
The Lone Star Conference game between Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M-Commerce on Thursday, August 30 was featured as part of the Division II Football Showcase schedule.
The first 19 games of the football showcase are predetermined games, 17 of which are conference matchups. An additional three flex games — intended to highlight crucial matchups — will be finalized later in the season and played in November.

Rabb topped his own school single game passing record throwing for 467 yards and five touchdowns to lead No. 7-ranked Midwestern State to a 57-36 win over Angelo State Saturday night at Memorial Stadium. The passing output stands as the second best throwing game in all of NCAA Division II this season, while MSU Texas' 654 yards of total offense are the third most in a D2 game this season. It was Rabb's fourth five-TD career performance culminating in his 50th career touchdown completion -- a 26-yard strike to Juwan Johnson with 4:29 to play in the third quarter. Rabb is second nationally in passing efficiency (192.0) and passing touchdowns (16) and is fourth with 341.3 passing yards per game. For the season, Rabb is 86-of-132 (65.2 percent) for 1,365 yards with 16 touchdowns and no interceptions.
DEFENSIVE
Dante Urrea, Eastern New Mexico University, SO, Criminal Justice, S, Deming, New Mexico, Deming HS
Urrea led the way for a Hounds defensive unit that limited Texas A&M-Kingsville to just 229 total yards for the game with 12 total tackles. The sophomore from Deming, N.M. recorded one tackle for a loss and one pass break up in the contest for a defense that limited Kingsville to just 158 yards through the air.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Dominique Ramsey, Texas A&M University-Commerce, SO, Industrial Engineering, PR/KR, Converse, Texas, Judson HS
Ramsey scored the opening touchdown of the game for the Lions with a 72-yard punt return for a score in the first quarter. He had five punt returns for 106 yards (21.2 average) and also had an 18-yard kickoff return. On defense, he was in on five tackles and had a pass breakup.
