LSC honors Sports Information Students
Three sports information students were recognized by the Lone Star Conference on Monday as the league announced the 2008-09 Sports Information Student Academic Award winners.
Each academic year the LSC will recognize sports information students who devote countless hours to assist with the operation of the athletics department while also finding the time to excel in the classroom. To be eligible for LSC academic honors, sports information students must carry at least a 3.20 grade point average with a minimum of 24 semester hours at the nominating institution. The qualifications mirror those required of student-athletes to gain LSC All-Academic recognition.
This year's recipients represent three of the LSC's 15 member institutions, with Abilene Christian, Midwestern State and Texas Woman's each honoring one student.
This year's LSC Sports Information Student Academic Award recipients are:
Abilene Christian: Kyle Robarts
Midwestern State: Kaitlin Morrison
Texas Woman's: Kaelyn McPherson
