Women's Basketball: Elite Eight games to be broadcast live

The NCAA has announced that all the games at the Division II Women's Elite Eight will be aired live nationally including Texas A&M-Commerce's quarterfinal game with Clayton State on Wednesday, March 21, at 6 p.m. in Kearney, Neb.

The Lone Star Conference North Division and overall champions are making their first Elite Eight appearance in school history.

All the games will broadcast live from the Health & Sports Center on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The quarterfinal games on Wednesday, March 21, will be available via broadband stream on College Sports Television (CSTV) at NCAASports.com/dii.

The semifinals and national championship game will be shown live on ESPN2 and ESPNU. On Thursday March 22nd, the semifinals will be at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and air live on ESPNU. ESPN2 will cover the national title game on Saturday, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Dave Armstrong will handle the play-by-play duties for the semifinals and national championship game while former Nebraska-Kearney women's basketball player Brenda VanLengen will be the analyst for the three contests.

The Lions are the fourth team to represent the LSC at the Elite Eight. The most recent appearance was by Southeastern Oklahoma in 2002 when the Savage Storm advanced to the National championship game before falling to Cal Poly Pomono, 74-62. Abilene Christian (1996) and West Texas A&M (1988, 1997) have also qualified for the Elite Eight.
