Men's Basketball: UCO set for Elite Eight



After winning the Lone Star Conference and South Central Regional titles, Central Oklahoma continues its postseason journey at the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Elite Eight in Springfield, Mass.

      The Bronchos (28-5) open play against Augusta State (25-6) in the first of four quarterfinal games at 11 a.m. (CST) Wednesday, March 26, at the MassMutual Center.

      UCO is in the Elite Eight for the first time since 1992 and only the second time in school history.  The Bronchos have won nine straight games and 19 of its last 20, while setting a school record for wins with 28 this season.

      The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Radio with David Garrett doing the play-by-play (http://www.sportsradio1340.com/main.html) and live video streaming of all tournament games is available at http://ncaa.com/championshiphub/default.aspx?id=114026.

      The semifinal games will be televised on CBS Colleges Sports Network at http://cstv.collegesports.com/mm/ and the championship game will be televised live on CBS.
