LSC football games part of Division II and CSTV broadband schedule
A pair of Lone Star Conference games are part of the 20 regular-season football games that will be shown via broadband in September NCAA Division II and CSTV announced today.
The games feature defending LSC champion West Texas A&M at Adams State on Sept. 8 at 3 p.m. and Eastern New Mexico at Abilene Christian for a league match-up on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m.
The schedule includes four games on each Saturday in September, except for September 15, when three games will be shown.
Sixteen more games are in the works for October, but not all of those agreements have been finalized. Among games scheduled are the WTAMU-Midwestern State LSC contest at MSU's Memorial Stadium (October 6); the Pittsburg State-Northwest Missouri State clash at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri (October 6); the Western State-Adams State game at Pueblo's Dutch Clark Stadium (October 27); and the Valdosta State-North Alabama game at Valdosta State's Bazemore-Hyder Stadium (October 27).
This is the second year in which Division II has partnered with CSTV to make available a number of football games over the Internet to a national audience.
Once the fall schedule is completed, a total of 44 games representing every Division II conference will be shown via broadband. That is in addition to the four games announced recently to be telecast live on CSTV (Texas A&M-Commerce at Pittsburg State August 25, Mars Hill at Catawba September 27, Chadron State at Nebraska-Kearney October 18 and South Dakota at Nebraska-Omaha November 1). Those games also can be viewed via broadband through the CSTV Web site at http://www.cstv.com/ncaa/divii/.
The broadband schedule is evenly distributed among Division II conferences, with each league being represented in at least three games.
Division II and CSTV will announce a regular-season broadband package for basketball this fall.
