Tennis: Nunez, Rafolomanantsiatosika earn weekly awards
Abilene Christian's Juan Nunez and Aina Rafolomanantsiatosika earned Lone Star Conference Tennis Player of the Week honors for their performances last week, the league office announced today.

Men's Player of the Week
Juan Nunez, Abilene Christian University
Jr., No. 1 singles, No. 1 doubles, Torreon, Mexico/Escuela
Preparatoria de la Laguna High School
Juan Nunez won at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to help ACU
(18-9) pick up a key regional victory over St. Edward's, 6-3, on
Saturday. Nunez first paired with Hutton Jones Jr. to knock
off the Hilltoppers' duo of Jacob Walley and Brett Powers,
8-4. Nunez, the No. 38 singles player in the nation, then
beat Justin Raiti 7-5, 6-2 in singles competition. For the
year, Nunez is 10-9 in singles play and a combined 14-6 in doubles
play.
Women's Player of the Week
Aina Rafolomanantsiatosika, Abilene Christian University
Sr., No. 1 singles, No. 1 doubles, Antananarivo, Madagascar/Glade
Christian Academy
Aina Rafolo helped ACU (22-3) continue its dominance over Central
Region competition as she won at No. 1 singles and doubles in the
Wildcats' 9-0 win over St. Edward's on Saturday. Rafolo first
teamed with Meagan Brown to knock off the Hilltoppers No. 1 duo of
Regina Del Bosque and Elizabeth Jacobi, 8-1. Then in singles
play Rafolo, the 46th-ranked singles player nation in the nation,
knocked of Del Bosque 6-0, 6-2. For the year, Rafolo is 19-3
in singles play (at either the No. 1 or No. 2 spot) and a combined
23-1 in doubles play.
