Track & Field: ACU claims men's and women's LSC titles



Abilene Christian controlled the Lone Star Conference Men's and Women's Track & Field Championships on Sunday in Commerce, Texas, as the Wildcats were crowned LSC champions for both men and women.

It was the 14th straight LSC title for ACU's men, while the ACU women won for the second consecutive year. The Wildcats have claimed 22 of 24 all-time LSC women's track titles.

ACU's men totaled 248 points followed by runner-up Angelo State with 152. Tarleton State was third with 83, Texas A&M-Commerce fourth with 59, Texas A&M-Kingsville fifth with 53 and Eastern New Mexico sixth with 47.

On the women's side, ACU led by only four points entering the day but built that to a remarkable 69-point win. The Wildcats tallied 280 points, trailed by runner-up ASU at 211, then TAMUK in third with 82, TSU fourth with 60, A&M-C fifth at 27 and ENMU in sixth with 16.
