Central Oklahoma topped Northwest Missouri State, 73-59, and
Tarleton State beat Southwest Baptist, 80-72, in semifinal
action at the NCAA Division II South Central Regional in
Stephenville, Texas, to set up an all Lone Star Conference
championship game on Tuesday.
UCO and TSU will play for the third time this season on Tuesday
at 7 p.m. in the regional championship game. The
winner advances to the NCAA Division II Men's Elite Eight in
Springfield, Mass.
Here's a closer look at Sunday's regional semifinal contests:
UCO 73, NWMSU 59
Brian Walker made back-to-back 3-pointers to put Central
Oklahoma in the lead for good and the No. 21-ranked Bronchos pulled
away down the stretch to down Northwest Missouri 73-59 in the
semifinals of the NCAA Division II South Central Regional here
Sunday.
UCO overcame a 14-point first-half deficit in winning its eighth
straight game and moving into the regional finals for the first
time since 1998.

TSU 80, SBU 72
The No. 15 Tarleton Texans battled a tough Southwest Baptist
Bearcat team in the NCAA Division South Central Regional
semifinals, and thanks to a strong second half, the Texans advanced
to the championship game with an 80-72 victory.
Tarleton (25-6) scored 15 of the last 21 points of the game to
move on to its third meeting with Central Oklahoma, but this one
will be for the right to advance to the Elite Eight in Springfield,
Mass.
