Women's Soccer: UCO loses on penalty kicks in NCAA Regional

Central Oklahoma lost to St. Edward's on penalty kicks 5-4 on Friday night in San Antonio, Texas, in the first round of the NCAA South Central Regional after neither team was able to score during 90 minutes of regulation or two 10-minute golden goal overtimes.

UCO (14-6-3), who won the Lone Star Conference title on PKs over West Texas A&M, saw their NCAA regional end by shootout for the third time in five years.

WTAMU (14-2-3) will play at home in Canyon, Texas on Sunday at 1 p.m. against Truman State, who defeated Nebraska-Omaha 1-0 on Friday. The Lady Buffs received hosting rights and a first-round bye due to their No. 1 regional seed.
