Kiptoo placed fifth at the 8-kilometer Missouri Southern Stampede last Saturday by finishing in a time of 24:20.50. It was the best individual finish ever by any ECU runner at the Missouri Southern event and set an ECU school record. His time beat his previous personal-best time by nearly a minute and a half as the Tigers finished fourth in the team standings.

Sydnee Cole. Midwestern State University, Sr., Phillipsburg, Kan., Phillipsburg HS
Cole set a school 5,000-meter record while leading Midwestern State to a stellar second-place showing at the Missouri Southern Stampede. The Phillipsburg, Kan. native covered the course in 18:08.35 to place 17th in the field of 302 as the Mustangs finished ahead of two teams ranked in the USTFCCCA Preseason Top 25 including No. 8 Missouri Southern and No. 19 Pittsburg State.
OTHER TOP RUNNERS
Mohammed Noor, Eastern New Mexico University, turned in a sixth-place finish at the Texas-Tech Open, finishing the 8k run with a time of 25:12.74. He was the third Division II runner to cross the finish line.
Adrienne Montoya, Eastern New Mexico University, shattered the ENMU 5k record, finishing in 19:21.59 at the Texas Tech Open, last week. Her performance earned a 10th-place finish. She was the top Division II finisher at the meet.
