Men’s Tennis: ACU’s Hach tops all-conference awards

Abilene Christian’s Hans Hach was named Lone Star Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Year on Thursday as the annual awards were announced.

Hach was the choice for men’s top player and earned All-LSC honors for his play in singles and doubles as well.

The all-conference honors were voted upon by the head coaches at each LSC member institution for the fourth time in 2011. Previously, the results of the LSC Individual Championships Tournament determined the team.

Individual awards went to East Central’s Andres Nunez for Sportsmanship Player of the Year, while Midwestern State’s Mario Urban earned Newcomer of the Year acclaim. Cameron’s Santiago Romero was tabbed Freshman of the Year and ACU’s Hutton Jones claimed Coach of the Year honors.

A total of 20 student-athletes from four member institutions were recognized through the LSC’s all-conference program.
