West Texas A&M and Angelo State were selected for the 2012 NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship field.
The pair will take part in the South Central Regional, which will be played at top seed Regis in Denver, Colo., Nov. 29-Dec. 2.
WTAMU, the Lone Star Conference tournament champion, is the No. 2 seed and plays No. 7 Arkansas-Fort Smith in the first round. The Lady Buffs are making their eighth straight NCAA postseason appearance.
ASU, the LSC champion with an 18-2 league record, is the fourth seed and faces No. 5 Adams State. The Rambelles earned their second straight trip to the national postseason.
Top seed Regis meets No. 8 Metro State and No. 3 Colorado Mines plays Colorado Christian in the other first-round matches.
Regional competition will be single-elimination, best three-of-five-set matches and will not include a third-place match.
The winners of each of the eight regionals will advance to the championship finals, Dec. 6-8. Competition at the final site will be single-elimination; best-of-five sets matches. The site of the finals will be on the campus of West Florida at the UWF Field House.
