LSC Softball Weekly Release: Six teams own winning streaks

LSC SOFTBALL
Lone Star Conference teams head into another week of non-conference action with six squads owning winning streaks of three games or more.  West Texas A&M, Abilene Christian and Texas Woman’s are competing in the NFCA Division II Leadoff Classic this weekend in Tucson, Ariz.
LSC teams are playing a single round-robin schedule with a three-game series against every other team. Each series consists of a doubleheader one day and single 7-inning game the other day.
The overall LSC Champion will be the team(s) with the best winning percentage in regular-season conference games, while the winner of the postseason championship will be recognized as LSC Tournament Champion and receive the league’s automatic qualification into the NCAA postseason. The single-elimination championship will be played May 3-5 in Canyon, Texas, as part of the LSC Spring Championships Festival.
LSC softball teams are 47-39 overall this season.  In the NCAA South Central Region, the group is currently 23-17 combined versus Heartland Conference teams and 6-0 opposed to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
