SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Wilma Merenmies, Oklahoma Christian, posted a runner-up finish in just her third collegiate tournament in the rain-shortened West Texas A&M Fall Invitational at La Paloma Golf Course (par 72, 6,006 yards) in Amarillo, Texas. She recorded four birdies and closed her round with six straight pars, helping No. 17-ranked OC finish third in the team race. Merenmies has finished in the top 20 in all three of her collegiate tournaments and in the top 10 the past two weeks.

Madison Lake, Texas A&M-Kingsville, finished tied for fifth at the West Texas A&M Fall Invitational, the highest finish of her collegiate career. After starting the day with three bogeys in her first four holes, Lake shot one-under the rest of the way, finishing with birdies on the seventh and eighth. The Victoria native finished in the tournament’s top five in scoring on par 3’s and par 4’s, as well as in birdies with four.
