TSU’s Webster headlines women’s basketball academic honors

Tarleton State’s Katie Webster earned Academic Player of the Year honors to top the Lone Star Conference women’s basketball academic honors announced by league officials at the LSC Awards Banquet in Frisco, Texas.
 
      On the All-Academic Team with Webster was Cameron’s Parfitt McNair, Eastern New Mexico’s Alivia Lewis, Midwestern State’s Liz Cathcart and West Texas A&M’s Lexy Hightower     
 
      Hightower was honored for the second consecutive year.
 
      To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes must have reached sophomore status and carry at least a 3.30 grade point average. The All-Academic Team is selected from the list of academically qualified players, with the league’s sports information directors voting on the basis of both academic and athletic achievement.
