LSC announces softball academic awards

For the second straight year, Tarleton State’s Jordan Withrow headlined the Lone Star Conference Softball All-Academic team which was announced at the LSC Softball Championship banquet.

Joining Withrow on the All-Academic Team is teammate Georgia Capell; Angelo State’s Megan Gordon, Courtney Barnhill, and Meagan Hill; Eastern New Mexico’s Kayla Marshall; Midwestern State’s Lauren Lindgren; and A&M-Commerce’s Ciera Nunez and Kayla Kilcrease.

Nunez was recognized for the third time, while Withrow and Lindgren were repeat selections.

To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.30 grade point average and have reached sophomore status both athletically and academically.
