Angelo State captured both the men’s and women’s titles at the 2019 Lone Star Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Portales, New Mexico.
The Rams won their second straight and 13th overall men’s title, while the Rambelles earned their second consecutive and 11th overall women’s crown.
The ASU men finished with 239.50 points in front of Texas A&M-Commerce (144) on the men’s side.
The Rams were paced by Trpimir Siroki who had a meet-best 27 points including gold in the high jump. ASU’s Z'Antyler Foster-Hooks was a double-winner for ASU claiming both the 100- and 200-meter dash titles. Nils Fischer (Javelin), Trivett Jones (pole vault), and Decio Andrade (hammer) also earned titles for ASU.

ASU topped the women’s field with 230 points followed by West Texas A&M (154).
The Rambelles were led by Kaitlyn Matthews with a meet-high 25.25 points, while Karlea Duhon won the heptathlon title and scored in five other events to total 22 points. Jazmin Hernandez (5,000-meters), Faith Roberson (400 hurdles), Shania Ford (800-meters), Talena Murray (javelin) added titles for ASU.
