He went 3 for 3 with a double and two runs scored in a 5-4 win over UAFS in the opening game of Saturday’s doubleheader, with the double coming during the Eagles’ decisive three-run sixth-inning rally.      Riley Jepson, UT Tyler, registered three multi-hit games in the four-game series against Lubbock Christian, helping UT Tyler move into a tie for the Lone Star Conference lead. He went 3-for-3 with 2 walks, 2 runs, 4 RBIs, and a steal in the series-opening 14-3 win over LCU.

Nate Pecota, Cameron, broke out of his early season slump in a big way against Tarleton this weekend, hitting .538 with two doubles, a triple, a homer, and a team-high eight RBI for the four-game series. CU's senior center fielder had hits in each of the first three games of the series and then went 4-4 and reached base six times in the marathon that was game four. Pecota hit a three-run homer, his first of the year, in the second game of the series and drove in two runs each in games three and four. The Lees Summit, Mo. native totaled eight RBI for the weeknd and had a 1.077 slugging percentage and a .667 on base percentage, walking five times to go along with his seven hits.

London Green, Tarleton, was a phenomenal run producer for the Texans as the junior outfielder drove in 10 RBI, including three on a game-tying triple in the seventh inning of the series finale Sunday night to tie the game at 14-14. For the weekend, Green hit .500 in 14 at bats with a pair of three-baggers and a team-high 10 RBI.

Brad Mathiowetz, Angelo State, was a valuable asset for the Rams this past weekend in a series split with St. Edward's. Mathiowetz tallied a hit in three games, with games one and four having multiple hits. He went 6-of-15 from the plate over the weekend, tallying three RBI, one double and added three runs. He owned a .400 batting average and a .467 slugging percentage.

Larry Leitha, Lubbock Christian, collected five hits during four games against UT Tyler, with all of them going for extra bases. He had three doubles on the weekend, more than doubling his season total. He also added a triple, giving him a conference-leading four on the season and blasted his first home run of the year, giving him a slugging percentage of 1.000.

Tyler Stone, UT Permian Basin, was dominant on Saturday, tossing a complete game shutout of Eastern New Mexico.  The junior fanned eight over seven brilliant innings for the 1-0 victory.  He allowed more than one base runner in just one inning, as the Falcons scored the game's lone run in the top of the seventh.  Stone was a part of the Falcon pitching staff that held the Greyhounds to just six runs over 30 innings and a .143 batting average against.  The Falcon staff started the weekend with three consecutive shutouts, spanning 23 innings.

Jesse Meyer, Angelo State, was vital out of the bullpen, helping to limit damage for the Rams. He only allowed two hits in 2.1 innings of work and struck out four batters with three coming in game three of the series. He held the Hilltoppers to a .250 batting average against him. He also did not allow a run against him.

Jayce Clem, Cameron, was big on the mound and at the plate for Cameron as they split their series against Tarleton this past weekend. The Randlett, Okla. native earned his second win of the year by limiting the red-hot Texan bats to just three hits and one run, unearned, in his five innings of work in game three of the series. Clem also struck out seven TSU batters and limited them to just a .176 average against the big righty. CU's two-way player also recorded four hits and scored four times while driving in five runs during the four-game set at McCord Field.

Ethan Coombes, Eastern New Mexico, pitched his third straight complete game on Saturday afternoon against UT Permian Basin in the Hounds 1-0 loss, allowing just a single unearned run over his seven innings of work. Coombes struck out a career-high 12 batters in just seven innings despite being credited with the loss and has allowed just three earned runs over his last 20 innings pitched. He surrendered just three hits on the afternoon and walked only two batters.

John Bridgeman, Tarleton, was spectacular out of the bullpen following a four-hour rain delay in the series finale at Cameron Sunday night. In a game tied 14-14 after seven, the rain forced a delay of over four hours before the teams could resume at 9:15 p.m. Bridgeman came on for the Texans and delivered two scoreless frames to earn the win after Blake Burns hit a game-winning double in the ninth. It was Bridgeman’s second scoreless outing of the weekend. In two appearances, the right-hander tossed four innings and allowed just one hit while striking out eight.

Ty Dudley, Oklahoma Christian, a sophomore, recorded the Eagles’ first complete game of the season – and the first of his collegiate career – in a 4-1 win over UAFS on Saturday. He scattered five hits with three walks and posted a career-high eight strikeouts, surrendering the Lions’ only run on a solo homer to lead off the fourth inning. Dudley escaped a bases-loaded jam in the fifth inning and did the same in the sixth inning, doing so the latter frame with a pair of strikeouts. The Eagles scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to give him the lead and he held it in the seventh, allowing UAFS only one baserunner while finishing off the game. Dudley hadn't pitched more than five innings in any appearance this season before throwing the complete game.

Max Page, UT Tyler, took over in relief after a rare early exit from Patriots' ace Austin Schneider, recording 5 crucial outs with the game in the balance (trailing by one, tied, and leading by one) to earn the relief victory before UT Tyler used a 10-run inning to post a 14-3 run-rule win over Lubbock Christian in the teams' series opener. Less than 48 hours later, Page started his first game of the year, allowing 1 run on 3 hits with 4 strikeouts in a season-high 4.2 innings. Page is now 4-0 with 2 saves on the season.

Aaron Weseman, Lubbock Christian, was dominant for five and a third innings against UT Tyler in the series finale. After escaping a first and third, nobody out jam in the first inning with no runs allowed, he retired 11 straight batters, including four strikeouts. The Frisco native allowed just one run in the game and limited opponents to a .222 batting average in the outing.
