Midwestern State and UT Permian Basin remain atop the Lone Star Conference standings as the only unbeaten teams in league games.
This week’s schedule includes three LSC contests and one non-conference game.
LSC football teams are 25-21 overall this season. The squads are 6-5 combined versus the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams, which are also in NCAA Super Regional Four.

LSC TO HOST 2021 DIVISION II FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
After hosting two successful title games, the NCAA Division II Football Committee has chosen McKinney Independent School District Stadium in McKinney, Texas, as the host site of the 2021-25 Division II football national championship games.
The 2021 title game is set for 8 p.m. CST on Saturday, Dec. 18 and will be televised by ESPNU.
The Lone Star Conference in conjunction with McKinney ISD hosted the 2018 and 2019 championship games. McKinney ISD Stadium and Community Event Center, a 12,000-seat facility built primarily for football, will host the Division II Football Championship games on Dec. 18, 2021; December 17, 2022; December 16, 2023; December 21, 2024; and December 20, 2025.

Manyweather had a career day in Eastern New Mexico's comeback victory over Western New Mexico, 50-47. The senior wide-out hauled in 16 catches for 234 receiving yards on 17 targets, along with two touchdowns, including the game-winning score. The Fullerton, California native recorded an LSC season-high for catches and receiving yards. Manyweather's 16 catches set a program record (the previous record was 14) and he is the first ENMU wide receiver to record over 200 receiving yards since 2015.

Cavender continued to lead the way defensively for the Buffaloes as they handed Angelo State a 31-15 defeat to conclude Homecoming Weekend at Buffalo Stadium in Canyon during Lone Star Conference action. The Midlothian, Texas product registered his third double-digit tackle game of the season as the freshman finished the win with 13 total tackles (nine solo) with 0.5 for a loss to go along with a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry in the win."

Urias was consistent once again for West Texas A&M as the junior connected on four extra point attempts to go along with a 32-yard field goal in a 31-15 Homecoming win over Angelo State at Buffalo Stadium in front of over 9,000 fans. The Lubbock Coronado graduate gave the Buffs a 17-3 lead heading into the locker room with a 32-yard field goal while connecting on all four extra point attempts in the win. Urias is now a perfect 27-for-27 on PAT's so far this season."

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Jayvon Davis, UT Permian Basin, was a one-man wrecking crew on Saturday, rushing for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 75-0 win over Lincoln (California). The freshman electrified the home crowd on the opening kick, returning it 99 yards for a touchdown, one of three he had on the afternoon. He could not be stopped, averaging nearly eight yards a carry. Davis tied the school record for touchdowns in a game with three, with all of them at least from 20 yards out. He also contributed defensively, recovering a fumble after an interception.
David Telles, Western New Mexico, had the hot hands for the Mustangs in the 50-47 loss to Eastern New Mexico. Telles created space helping him find the end zone twice. Telles would finish the night catching five of his seven targets for 105 yards.
Chance Cooper, Texas A&M-Commerce, caught five passes on Saturday against Saginaw Valley State in the 20-17 defeat. He totaled 68 yards in the game including a 29-yard touchdown catch.
Noah Bogardus, West Texas A&M, led the way offensively for the Buffaloes as the junior from Eastvale, California grabbed six catches for 64 yards and a touchdown to go along with a blocked punt return for a score as WT handed Angelo State a 31-15 defeat on Homecoming at Buffalo Stadium. The Buffs got on the board in the first quarter as Eric Goodman blocked an ASU punt attempt that fell into the hands of Bogardus and the junior returned the kick 38 yards for the early 7-3 lead. The Azusa Pacific transfer would add to the Buffalo lead later in the first half with a seven yard touchdown catch from Nick Gerber as WT would win 31-15 to snap a two-game losing skid.
Dominion Ezinwa, Texas A&M-Commerce, had six tackles as well as a sack in Saturday’s game against Saginaw Valley State. Ezinwa also forced a fumble and had two tackles for loss in the 20-17 defeat.
Tylen Coleman, Western New Mexico, continues to get to the quarterback with 3 sacks in the 50-47 loss to Eastern New Mexico. Coleman is still tied in first nationally for sacks with 10.5 in 6 games on the year.
Trent Ward, UT Permian Basin, and the Falcon defense were dominant on Saturday completing the first shutout (75-0) in program history. The defense held Lincoln to just 133 yards of total offense and 113 through the air. Ward opened the second half with a bang, jumping in front of a pass and returning it 60 yards for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage. The defense forced 6 turnovers on the day, returning two for a touchdown, and also recorded a safety. Lincoln struggled to move the ball all day, only recording 8 first downs and not converting a third down until the final drive of the game.
Carson Roberts, UT Permian Basin, was once again perfect on Saturday, drilling 10 extra points and knocking home a field goal as the Falcons scored 75 points. The freshman also handled punting duties for the Falcons, averaging 47.3 yards a punt and pinning Lincoln inside the 20 twice. Roberts has been perfect on extra point attempts this season and leads the Lone Star Conference in punting average. The Odessa native is also third in the LSC in kicking points.
Jake Viquez, Texas A&M-Commerce, went a perfect 3-for-3 in field goal attempts on Saturday against Saginaw Valley State in the 20-17 defeat. He kicked in a 31-yard kick as time expired in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime. In overtime, Viquez drilled a 27-yard kick to give the Lions their first lead of the game. He has made 10 field goals this season, which leads the LSC. He is 10 for 13 in field goal attempts this year.
