Midwestern State and UT Permian Basin top the standings as the only unbeaten teams in Lone Star Conference action.
This week’s schedule includes three LSC contests and two non-conference games.
LSC football teams are 21-17 overall this season. The squads are 6-5 combined versus the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams, which are also in NCAA Super Regional Four.

LSC TO HOST 2021 DIVISION II FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
After hosting two successful title games, the NCAA Division II Football Committee has chosen McKinney Independent School District Stadium in McKinney, Texas, as the host site of the 2021-25 Division II football national championship games.
The 2021 title game is set for 8 p.m. CST on Saturday, Dec. 18 and will be televised by ESPNU.
The Lone Star Conference in conjunction with McKinney ISD hosted the 2018 and 2019 championship games. McKinney ISD Stadium and Community Event Center, a 12,000-seat facility built primarily for football, will host the Division II Football Championship games on Dec. 18, 2021; December 17, 2022; December 16, 2023; December 21, 2024; and December 20, 2025.

Hagen Garvin, Angelo State, SO, Health Science, QB, Yoakum, Texas, Yoakum HS
In his second career start for Angelo State, Garvin threw four touchdowns to lead the Rams to a 62-3 win over Western New Mexico. He finished with a 69 percent completion percentage (11-for-16) while totaling 276 passing yards. Garvin is now 2-0 as the starting quarterback for ASU after securing a win in last week's matchup against Central Washington.
DEFENSIVE
Eric Rascoe, Angelo State, R-FR, Management, LB, San Antonio, Texas, Warren HS
Rascoe led the Rams defensively against Western New Mexico, totaling nine tackles with seven solos, and three tackles for a loss. He also collected a sack as the Rams held their opponent out of the end zone for the second consecutive week, allowing only a field goal against the Mustangs. The Rams defense held Western to only 166 yards on the day including 44 yards on the ground.

Collecting six punts against the Mustangs, Pitts totaled 166 punt return yards, averaging 27.7 yards per punt return. The redshirt freshman from McKinney, Texas, had one return for 80 yards, bringing the ball to the Mustangs' two-yard line, setting up a touchdown for the Rams in their 62-3 victory.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Carandal Hale, Texas A&M-Commerce, scored two touchdowns in Saturday’s win over Fort Lauderdale. He rushed for 122 yards and scored the first touchdown of the night, which gave the team its first lead of the day. He averaged 9.4 yards per carry.
Justin Manyweather, Eastern New Mexico, had 111 yards on seven catches for the Greyhounds during a 52-6 victory over Lincoln. He finished the game with three touchdowns, including a game-long 72-yard TD reception.
Bryson Stewart, Texas A&M-Commerce, recorded six tackles for loss on Saturday against Fort Lauderdale, which is a program record He also had a sack, a forced fumble on his way to recording seven total tackles.
Mazin Richards, Eastern New Mexico, had four tackles all of which were sacks for 37 yards lost against Lincoln University (Calif.) The Hounds went on to win the contest 52-6 to improve to 2-3 on the season.
Ritse Vaes, Midwestern State, connected on a pair of field goals and remained perfect on point-after attempts Saturday night at Central Washington. The freshman from Wichita Falls hit a 31-yard and 41-yard attempt and has connected on all four of his field goal attempts since taking over place kicking duties for the Mustangs during the second week of the season. Vaes was perfect on two PAT attempts against Central Washington and has now converted each of his 15 attempts this season.
Cage Jones, Eastern New Mexico, hit a 30-yard field goal in the Greyhound's 52-6 win over Lincoln this weekend. He also had nine kickoffs with an average of 50.3 yards. Jones also was 7-for-7 on extra-point attempts after Eastern touchdowns. He contributed a total of 10 points throughout the contest.
Dominique Ramsey, Texas A&M-Commerce, had four returns on Saturday, totaling 130 yards. He returned two punts for a total of 75 yards, a kickoff for 44 yards and caught an interception, which he returned for 11 yards. His averaged of 23.4 yards per kickoff return is fourth in the Lone Star Conference and average of 20.5 yards per punt return is second.
