MEN’S TRACK
Shaun Gill, Texas A&M-Kingsville, SR, Pre-Engineering, Belize City, Belize
Gill competed in his first event for TAMUK since participating in the Games of the XXXII Olympiad at the Boo Rogers Invitational in Pittsburg, Kan. where a time of 6.84 in the 60m dash placed him tenth overall and fourth excluding non-NCAA competitors. Additionally, Gill's time met the NCAA provisional standard, and he currently sits 13th on the national leaderboard.
 
MEN’S FIELD
Johnathon Harper, Texas A&M-Kingsville, SR, Mechanical Engineering/MBA, Lorena, Texas, Lorena HS
Harper was crowned heptathlon champion at the Boo Rogers Invitational in Pittsburg, Kan. for the third consecutive year, besting a slew of All-Americans as well as conference foes after posting a mark of 5,451 that places him first on the national leaderboard with an provisional score. Harper scored 800+ points in three of seven events while winning the pole vault with a mark of 15-5 (4.70m) for 819, and the 60m hurdles segment with a provisional time of 8.13 that sits ninth in the nation for 949 points. Additionally, he placed second in the 60m dash at 7.06 tacking 861 onto his total.
 
WOMEN’S TRACK
Bryah Davis, Oklahoma Christian, SO, Visual Arts, Cedar Hill, Texas, Cedar Hill HS
Davis was Oklahoma Christian's top individual event finisher in Pittsburg State's season-opening Crimson and Gold Invitational, finishing seventh among 59 runners in the 200 meters in 25.23 seconds, her best-ever time indoors at that distance. She also finished 18th among 78 runners in the 60 meters in 7.82 seconds.
 
WOMEN’S FIELD
Jezell Shows, Texas A&M-Kingsville, SO, Criminology, San Antonio, Texas, Smithson Valley HS
Shows shattered the Texas A&M-Kingsville pentathlon record on Friday, with the San Antonio native scoring 3,001 points across five events at the Boo Rodgers Invitational in Pittsburg, Kan. She bettered the previous benchmark by 58 points, which she initially set at the 2021 LSC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Her best events included the 60m hurdles, where she clocked in at 9.99 and earned 714 points, as well as the 800m run that saw her finish with a time of 2:34.62 and gain 636 points cementing the new record.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Coby Trevino, Oklahoma Christian, ran a career-best time of 49.65 seconds to finish fifth among 33 runners in the 400 meters in the Crimson and Gold Invitational in Pittsburg, Kan. He was the Eagles' top individual finisher in the season-opening meet.
 
   Torrion Montgomery, Oklahoma Christian, led the Eagles in his debut meet after transferring from MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.). Montgomery finished seventh among 34 men in the long jump with a top mark of 22-3.75 (6.80m) and eighth among 13 in the triple jump with a career-best effort of 43-6 (13.26m).
