DBU won its first Lone Star Conference Women’s Golf Championship in record fashion after 54 holes at Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington, Texas.

The Lady Patriots score of 23-under par 841 (272-285-284) broke the LSC record for a team in three rounds, which was 866.

DBU’s Olivia Mitchell took home individual medalist honors, shooting 11-under par 205 (66-71-68), which broke the league record by five strokes.

Texas A&M-Commerce finished second (852), while St. Mary’s (870) was third.

Mitchell was joined by teammate Faith DeLaGarza, along with the Lions Sophie-Charlott Hempel and Sarah Wongsinth, and West Texas A&M’s Loukyee Songprasert on the all-tournament team.

DBU earned the LSC’s automatic bid to the West Regional, which will be held May 3-5 at Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch in Denton, Texas, and hosted by DBU.
