Egor Shestakov moved up to the No. 1 singles position at the start of LSC play, and he recorded his first 2 wins at the top of the singles lineup as he helped UT Tyler defeat UAFS and Cameron at home last week to claim the early lead in the LSC standings. He won all 6 sets he played in the matches, winning all by at least a 6-3 margin; he posted 6-2 wins at No. 3 doubles in both matches, along with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Wian Van Dyk (UAFS) and a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Oscar del Granado (Cameron).
 
WOMEN’S
Maria Delgadillo, Angelo State, SR, Accounting, Mexico City, Mexico, ASA Miami
Maria Delgadillo went 4-0 in all competitions on the weekend as the Belles picked up wins over St. Mary's and Texas A&M - Kingsville to remain undefeated in conference play. In doubles, she won both matches 6-2 at the No. 3 spot. In singles, she defeated StMU 0-6, 6-2, 7-5 at No. 4 and beat TAMUK 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3. Has won four straight singles matches and holds a 9-3 doubles record in duals.

SELECTED OTHER PERFORMANCES
           Quentin Scharfenberg, Midwestern State, went undefeated in the past week in singles and doubles play. The freshman grabbed a 6-1, 6-2 win at the fifth spot against UT Permian Basin. He then got the 6-1, 6-1 overtake in the Western New Mexico match. He has managed four straight singles wins from the five and six spots. The Lubbock, Texas native also has a five-match streak in doubles, playing with Angel Palacios and Brice Bradshaw. With Bradshaw, the pair took the third line over Enrique Sanchez and Roberto Garcia by 6-3. After the UT Permian Basin Western match, the partners won against Lazius Brown and Jace Crawford by a score of 6-1.
 
           Rodrigo Mere, Western New Mexico, went 2-2 at singles and 3-1 at doubles over the weekend. Mere and his partner Erik Dallmann got doubles wins over DBU, UT Dallas, and nationally ranked Midwestern State. The win over MSU helped secure the doubles point for the WNMU Mustangs. Rodrigo got singles wins over DBU and UT Dallas. He fell in his singles matches against MSU and SE Oklahoma State, but he kept them close, coming up short (6-2, 6-2) to nationally ranked MSU and (7-5, 6-4) to nationally ranked SE Oklahoma State.
 
           Ethne Dowling, Midwestern State, swept all of her battles against UT Permian Basin and Western New Mexico this past week. Against UTPB, she took her singles match by 6-0, 7-5 score from Monika Cantu. The sophomore beat Nicold Gonzalez from Western New Mexico 6-1, 6-0. She is on a four-match win streak for singles and a three-match streak for singles. Dowling and Kyndall Quiroz played at the three spot against UTPB and won 6-0. Against WNM the pair took home a 6-1 win.
 
           Maria Garcia, St. Mary’s, continued her unbeaten singles streak in the conference this week with a win over Angelo State at the No. 2 line. Garcia claimed a 6-4, 6-3 win against Angelo State. Garcia has compiled a 13-2 overall singles record including six straight victories.
 
           Gaini Ibrasheva, UT Tyler, led the Patriots to back-to-back home wins over UAFS and Cameron last week by posting a pair of straight-sets victories at No. 1 singles along with a 1-1 record in doubles play for the week. Ibrasheva was a 6-0 winner in doubles (No. 3) along with a 6-2, 6-0 victory in singles in the Patriots' 7-0 win over UAFS, and she rallied from a 6-2 defeat in doubles against Cameron with a crucial 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) victory as UT Tyler overcame a doubles sweep with 4 singles victories in a 4-3 win over Cameron
