Four LSC Women's Tennis Teams claim tournament berths

2021 NCAA Division II Men's Championship Regional Bracket

Four Lone Star Conference women’s tennis teams received bids to the 2021 NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Championship.

           LSC Champion Angelo State procured the league’s automatic bid and the top overall seed in next week’s South Central Regional in Arlington, Texas. The Rambelles finished the regular season 14-3 overall and won their second consecutive LSC title. Midwestern State is the No. 2 seed in the region, entering the postseason with a 12-6 record in 2021. St. Mary’s (15-5) claimed the No. 3 seed, and Texas A&M-Kingsville (8-8) earned the No. 4 seed. The Javelinas are set to make their first appearance in program history after receiving the final spot in the regional.

           The Rambelles will play TAMUK in the opening round on Monday, May 10 at 9 a.m. CT at the Arlington Tennis Center. MSU and StMU will also face off at 9 a.m. CT in the second regional semifinal at the ATC. The two semifinal winners will advance to the regional championship match on Tuesday, May 11 at 9 a.m. CT.

           The winner of the South Central Regional Tournament will advance to the finals, May 19-20-21 in Surprise, Arizona.
