LSC women’s basketball teams are 20-14 overall and 18-12 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the other league in the South Central Region.

Sawyer Lloyd opened the 2022-23 season with back-to-back 20-point games and a double-double in two wins for the Rambelles. The junior scored 20 points in the victory over MSU Denver. Lloyd followed that up with a double-double against Western Colorado, scoring 24 points on 60 percent shooting with 11 rebounds, dished out six assists, and had three steals in the win.
DEFENSIVE
Avalon Munoz, UT Permian Basin, SO, Computer Science, Guard, San Antonio, Texas, Edison HS
Munoz and the Falcon defense was terrific to open the season, allowing just 54.5 points per game in wins over South Dakota Mines and Colorado Mesa. The San Antonio native had 11 steals, by far the most last week in the LSC, and led the Falcons to their first 2-0 start since 2014-15. The sophomore had four steals and seven rebounds versus SD Mines, and seven swipes against CMU. Led by Munoz, the Falcons forced 54 turnovers and held their RMAC opponents to .349 shooting.
