LSC Men's Basketball Weekly Release - Week 7

Eastern New Mexico went 2-0 in Lone Star Conference games in the last week.  Teams now have a NCAA Division II winter break through December 26.
 
      LSC games continue with each team playing a double round-robin schedule within their eight-team division. Additionally, teams will play eight crossover contests against teams from the opposite division for a total of 22 conference games.
 
      The LSC Men’s Basketball Championship will feature an eight-team field in 2023 with seeding based on the 22 conference games. The divisional winners will receive the top two seeds in the tournament. The championships are set to take place March 2-3-4-5, 2023, at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.
 
      LSC men’s basketball teams are 104-68 overall and 17-17 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the other league in the South Central Region.

Mackenzie started his weekend scoring 16 points, including 11 of those in the second half, in LCU's 91-83 upset over No. 4/5 West Liberty in Las Vegas at the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic. Mackenzie went 6-for-7 from the field in just 19 minutes played and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Mackenzie finished his weekend in Vegas with 20 points against Le Moyne College, going 6-for-6 from the free throw line and 6-for-10 from the floor, playing all 40 minutes. He flirted with a triple double against the Dolphins, hauling in seven rebounds and dishing out 5 assists in the 78-64 win.
 
DEFENSIVE

White helped ENMU limit DBU and No. 19 UT Tyler to a 29.3% shooting percentage and 54 points over the weekend. In the two victories, he led the team in steals (5) and total rebounds (18). Against DBU, White recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
