Texas Woman's and UT Tyler were 2-0 in Lone Star Conference contests in the last week. Teams now have a NCAA Division II mandated winter break through December 26.
LSC games continue this week with each team playing a double round-robin schedule within their eight-team division. Additionally, teams will play eight crossover competitions against teams from the opposite division for a total of 22 conference games.
The LSC Women’s Basketball Championship will feature an eight-team field in 2023 with seeding based on the 22 conference games. The divisional winners will receive the top two seeds in the tournament. The championships are set to take place March 2-3-4-5, 2023, at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.
LSC women’s basketball teams are 95-75 overall and 22-16 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the other league in the South Central Region.

OFFENSIVE
Sadie Moyer, Texas Woman's, SR, Kinesiology, Guard, Broken Arrow, Okla., Union HS
Moyer led the Pioneers to two hard-fought wins at Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico. She led TWU on against ENMU, scoring a season-high 24 points and grabbing a season high six rebounds. Against WNMU, she maintained her double-digit scoring with 13 points and tied her season high with six rebounds. For the week, made 41.7% of three-pointers.
DEFENSIVE
Sawyer Lloyd, Angelo State, JR, Exercise Science, Guard, Wall, Texas, Wall HS
Lloyd filled up the stat sheet at both ends in the Rambelles previous two contests which were both wins. Against UT Permian Basin, Lloyd pulled down a career high 17 rebounds (13 defensive and 4 offensive) to go along with 23 points and five assists. The Wall native followed that up with a double-double that included 18 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, and a season-high six steals against Schreiner. The Rambelles held their opponents to just 28 percent from the field in the two-game stretch.
