The 2022 Lone Star Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held at the Texas Tech Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas on February 25-26.
The meet begins at 10:30 a.m. Friday and continues at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with 10 men’s teams and 11 women’s squads competing.

The league has two men’s and two women’s team in the top 25 of the latest national rating index conducted by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The men’s rankings include No. 5 West Texas A&M and No. 8 Texas A&M-Commerce, while the women are represented by No. 4 WT and No. 18 Angelo State.
WT is the reigning men’s and women’s champions. The Lady Buffs have won the last eight titles on the women’s side.
The NCAA Division II Championships are March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kansas.

MEN’S TRACK
Dylan Burrows, Oklahoma Christian, SO, General Business, Melbourne, Australia, Peninsula Grammar School
Burrows, a sophomore from Melbourne, Australia, posted a pair of NCAA Division II provisional qualifying times during the Arkansas Qualifier in Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday. Racing mostly against Division I competition, he finished seventh among 25 men in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.14. Later, as part of OC's 4x400-meter relay team, he lowered the Eagles' season-best time to 3:15.85.
MEN’S FIELD
Ryan Amador, Texas A&M-Commerce, JR, Kinesiology & Sport Studies, Jonesboro, Ark., Jonesboro HS
Amador had a provisional mark of 54-8 (16.66m) in the shot put to finish second overall at Texas Tech. His throw is third in the conference this season and 34th in the country.
WOMEN’S TRACK
Mariana Shostak, Texas A&M-Commerce, FR, Sport & Recreation Management, Lviv, Ukraine
Shostak set a top-10 time in the country in the 400-meter dash on Friday. She timed 55.42 in the 400m, which leads the LSC and is eighth in NCAA Division II. Her time in the 200-meter dash of 24.65 is fourth in the conference and 26th in the country.
WOMEN’S FIELD
Maia Maury, Texas A&M-Commerce, FR, Kinesiology and Sport Studies, Noisy-Le-Grand, France
Maury cleared 5-5.75 (1.67m) to win the high jump event at Texas Tech on Friday. Her mark is second in the conference, best by any LSC athlete this week, and 36th in NCAA Division II.

Jordan Johnson, Texas A&M-Commerce, JR, timed 8.25 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles at Texas Tech on Friday, which puts him seventh in the Lone Star Conference standings.
Eleonora Curtabbi, West Texas A&M, collected her first victory of the season as she won the 3000-meters in a field of 24 at the Jarvis Scott Open in Lubbock. The junior ran a season-best 9:47.17 defeating Oklahoma Baptist's Emma Downing and Texas Tech's Binta Ka by nearly 40-seconds. With altitude conversion, her converted 9:54.33 provisional time ranks her second in the Lone Star and 38th in the nation.
