Women's Golf: Postseason awards released

GLEN ROSE, Texas – DBU took home three individual awards to headline the Lone Star Conference annual postseason women’s golf awards announced by league officials on Wednesday.
 
      Jordan Karrh captured Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors, while the Lady Patriots Kenny Trapp earned Coach of the Year acclaim for the third straight year.
 
      Karrh led the women’s first team that included four DBU teammates including Faith Delagarza, Jaycie Stewart, Julia Garcia, and Olivia Mitchell; St. Mary's Rebecca Reed and Sofia Ruescas; and West Texas A&M’s Gam Songprasert.
 
      West Texas A&M’s Lorenza Perini was named Newcomer of the Year.
 
      In total, 20 women’s players were All-LSC selections with eight additional players were on the second team and four honorable mention selections.  The awards are voted upon by the league coaches.
