MEN’S TRACK
Dylan Burrows, Oklahoma Christian, SO, Sports Management, Melbourne, Australia, Peninsula Grammar School
Burrows ran a career-best time of 1:49.17 in the 800 meters in the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., on Thursday. His time shattered his previous best by more than a second and was the ninth-best this season in NCAA Division II, easily meeting the provisional qualifying standard for next month's Division II Outdoor Championships. Burrows finished 22nd in a field of 198 men, which included many NCAA Division I runners and a good number of top Division II and NAIA runners.
 
MEN’S FIELD
D.J. Delancy, Texas A&M-Kingsville, SR, Biomedical Sciences, Bethel Town, Jamacia, Munro College
Delancy has now placed himself 14th on the NCAA Division II performance list in the shot put after launching the implement 57-5.75 (17.52m) on his fifth attempt at the 14th Annual Cactus Cup. He won the event with his toss, for a new personal best. The Jamaican also set a new individual record in the discus in Pepsi Field at Javelina Stadium, after slinging the discus 154-9 (47.16m) for a third-place finish.
 
WOMEN’S TRACK
Eleonora Curtabbi, West Texas A&M, JR, Environmental Science, Turin, Italy
Curtabbi broke a pair of school records at the Bryan Clay Invite last week. She ran 10:09.85 to finish fourth in a field of 63 in the steeplechase as the Turin, Italy product's time marks the 16th-fastest in NCAA Division II history. She has the top two performances in the nation this season in the steeple. She returned to the track two days later to break the 1,500-meter record where she crossed the line with the fifth-fastest time in Division II this season at 4:24.78 for a runner-up finish as the highest collegiate placer.
 
WOMEN’S FIELD
Gertrudis Balli, Texas A&M-Kingsville, SR, Environmental Sciences, Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Brownsville Pace
Balli has again reached new heights in the discus, after slinging the implement 162-7 (49.57) to conquer the event at the 14th Annual Cactus Cup and climb the national leaderboard into fifth. Her distance represents a new season-best and sits less than four feet away from her school-record mark of 165-11(50.58) from the 2021 Lone Star Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Johnathon Harper, Texas A&M-Kingsville, logged a pair of NCAA Provisional Qualifying marks at the 14th Annual Cactus Cup, clocking in the 14.22 in the 110m hurdles and 40.99 in the 4x100m relay. His performance in the 110m hurdles lands him 16th nationally, while the relay quads mark ranks 30th among Division II programs. The Lorena, Texas native, finished atop the leader board in both events. 
 
   Angel Luera, DBU, won the 1500 meters and set a new school record at the Earl Millner Invite at Stephen F. Austin on Friday.  Luera clocked a program-best time of 3:49.87 in the event and his time qualifies as an NCAA Division II National Provisional Mark.
 
   Chaney Martin, Oklahoma Christian, led a 1-2 finish for OC in the decathlon at the University of Oklahoma's Sooner Invitational and Multi in Norman, Okla., a competition in which the two Eagles finished ahead of seven NCAA Division I athletes. Martin was sixth among 15 men after the first day on Friday, but he soared up the standings on Saturday. He won the pole vault (4.00m), took third in the javelin (44.40m) and finished second in the final event, the 1,500 meters (4:36.36). The last result vaulted him past teammate Alex Samples into first place with a score of 6,346 points. On the decathlon's first day, Martin took fourth in the 400 meters (50.93 seconds) and fifth in the high jump (1.78m).
 
   Hannah Porter, Angelo State, competing at Texas A&M-Kingsville's Cactus cup, took first overall in the 100-meter dash after hitting a provisional mark with a time of 11.86. She also finished first in the 200-meter run with a time of 24.78.
 
   Kenya Bailey, Oklahoma Christian, the junior distance standout posted her career-best time of 4:51.99 in the 1,500 meters in the University of Oklahoma's Sooner Invitational in Norman, Okla., despite battling temperatures in the mid-50s, overcast skies and a brisk wind. She finished sixth among 35 women in the race.
 
   Antonija Radic, Angelo State, won two events while competing at Texas A&M - Kingsville's Cactus cup, taking first in the long jump and the high jump. Radic hit a distance of 19-0.5 (5.80m) in the long jump while clearing a height of 5-5 (1.65m) in the high jump.
