The 2022 Lone Star Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held at Texas A&M-Kingsville in Kingsville, Texas on May 5-6-7.

The championships start Thursday at 12 p.m. CT with the multi-events portion and conclude Saturday night with finals and team trophy presentations.

MEN’S TRACK
Delan Edwin, Texas A&M-Commerce, JR, Accounting, Castries, Saint Lucia
Edwin broke a facility and school record, while recording two top 10 times in the country this past week at the East Texas Quad. He set the school and facility record with a time of 20.70 in the 200-meter dash, which is third in the country. He timed 10.28 seconds in the 100-meter dash, which is seventh in the country
MEN’S FIELD
Ushan Perera, Texas A&M-Commerce, SO, Construction Engineering, Mahabage, Sri Lanka
Perera cleared 7-2.5 (2.20m) in the high jump to set the new facility record at the East Texas Quad. The only other athlete in Division II to clear 2.20m was Perera earlier this season.
WOMEN’S TRACK
4x400-meter relay (Shiean Walters, Zykia McDaniel, Genevie Rivera, and Maricia Spence), Angelo State
The Angelo State women's 4x400-meter relay team, consisting of Shiean Walters, Zykia McDaniel, Genevie Rivera, and Maricia Spence, took first overall at the ACU Oliver Jackson Twilight, running a time of 3:41.73 to improve on their provisional mark. They now hold the fifth-fastest time in all of Division II.
WOMEN’S FIELD

Scott threw 162-7 (49.55m) in the javelin to set the new school and facility record this past week at the East Texas Quad. That mark is also second in the country.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Dylan Burrows, Oklahoma Christian, running in an invitational 800-meter race in the University of Kansas' Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence, Kan., took second – and was the top collegiate finisher – in a field that included five Division I runners. Burrows' time of 1:49.36 was just .17 of a second off his season best and met the Division II provisional qualifying standard. The sophomore from Melbourne, Australia, ranks 11th in the event Division II this season.
Noah Metzger, DBU, was the highlight competitor of those who qualified for the Oregon State High Performance Meet, breaking the school record in the 5,000 meters with a scorching time of 14:02.70. The 13-second improvement on the previous school best puts Metzger in the top-20 of the nation, blowing past the national provisional mark of 14:25.65.
Chaney Martin, Oklahoma Christian, continued his prep for the upcoming LSC decathlon while competing Saturday in the University of Kansas' Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence, Kan. He took fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 14-4 (4.37m) and also competed in the discus (with a top mark of 90-7/27.62m) and the 110-meter hurdles (15.81 seconds).
Madison Brown, DBU, placed second overall in the 5,000 meters at the Oregon State High Performance Meet with a season-best time of 16:33.62, moving her to 19th in the nation. Soon after Brown's 5,000 meters race, she was back on the track to compete in the 10,000 meters where she finished the race third overall, throwing down the best race of the weekend with a blistering time of 34:51.70. Her time not only broke the school record by over 50 seconds, but it also placed Brown 13th in the nation.
Rebeca Morales, Oklahoma Christian, took second place among 22 runners in the 1,500 meters in the Rock Chalk Classic, hosted by the University of Kansas on Saturday in Lawrence, Kan. In the 11-woman field in her heat race, Morales ran the entire race in the top three and finished with a time of 4:42.03. She beat eight runners from Division I programs, including at least one from Wichita State, Missouri, Kansas, Missouri State, Tulsa and Northern Colorado.
Abby Zamzow, Angelo State, improved on her provisional mark in the triple jump while competing at the Oliver Jackson Twilight, hitting a distance of 40-4.25 (12.30m) to take second overall in the event while earning the highest finish out of all DII competitors. She now ranks 13th in all of Division II in the event.
