PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Zach Bronkhorst, Angelo State, SR, Homeland Security, QB, Galveston, Texas, High Island HS
Bronkhorst led the fourth-ranked Rams to a 34-14 win over West Texas A&M. He threw for 279 yards and a touchdown while completing 27 of 39 passes.  Bronkhorst helped ASU to 455 yards of total offense.

DEFENSIVE
Hayden Kelly, UT Permian Basin, JR, Business, LB, Magnolia, Texas, Magnolia HS
Kelly manned the middle of a Falcon defense that bent but didn't break in their 27-24 road win over Western Oregon.  Late in the fourth quarter with the Wolves driving, Kelly intercepted a pass over the middle and returned it 55 yards to seal the win with 40 seconds on the clock.  He flew all over the field, setting a new career-high with 10 tackles while also recording 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack.  The Wolves had a difficult time throwing over the middle with Kelly also deflecting a pair of passes in the all-around effort.

SPECIAL TEAMS
Gilbert Garza, Texas A&M-Kingsville, SO, Kinesiology, K, Weslaco, Texas, Weslaco East HS
Garza was perfect kicking this past weekend posting 11 total points in the Javelinas 43-10 win over Eastern New Mexico.  He hit two field goals – 39 and 23 yards - with one as time ran down to end the first half and added five extra points.
