Awards for the 2023 Lone Star Conference volleyball season were announced by the conference during the LSC Championship Tournament banquet Wednesday evening (Nov. 15).
DBU outside hitter Delaney Fuller led the list of award recipients with selection as the LSC Player of the Year and the Offensive Player of the Year. Fuller led the conference in points (499.5/5.05 ave.) and kills (439/4.43 ave.). Texas A&M International setter Emma Lade was named Setter of the Year, UAFS middle blocker Hannah Watkins named Defensive Player of the Year, and West Texas A&M libero Bryli Contreras selected Libero of the Year.
UT Tyler outside Shaye Koski claimed Freshman of the Year honors and Newcomer of the Year was presented to setter Grace Reynolds of Texas Woman's. DBU head coach Jordan Fish was named Coach of the Year.
Co-champions DBU and West Texas A&M placed a combined 12 players on the All-Conference teams with all eight LSC Tournament-qualifying teams placing players on the first-, second- or honorable mention lists. In addition, seven individuals were selected for the All-Freshman Team.
LSC awards were presented to 52 volleyball student-athletes in recognition of their play during the 2023 season as selected by the volleyball head coaches.
