After a hectic weekend challenging the South Central Region in several season-opening games against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Lone Star Conference teams mix it up with competition against teams from a variety of Division II conferences over the November 14-19 week.

LSC teams are a combined 27-19 (.587) record against NCAA Division II opponents through games of November 12, including a 17-12 record vs. South Central Region rival Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The LSC is 7-1 against West Region teams; 3-2 vs. Central Region opponents; and 0-2 against both the South and Atlantic Regions.

OFFENSIVE
Leila Patel, Texas Woman's, G, Jr., Business Administration, Frisco, Texas (Centennial HS)
Guard Leila Patel led Texas Woman's in its 2-0 week, earning Conference Challenge Most Valuable Player honors after averaging 18.5 points on a red-hot .722 shooting performance from the field (13-of-18). Patel scored a career high 20 points in the 66-47 win over Western Colorado, coming back the next night to score 17 points, including 3-of-3 from three-point range, in the Pioneers' overwhelming 66-36 win vs. MSU Denver. The junior added eight rebounds, two steals and an assist to her weekend stat line.
 
DEFENSIVE
Maci Maddox, Lubbock Christian, G, Sr., Sports Management, Lubbock, Texas (Frenship HS)
Guard Maci Maddox helped Lubbock Christian go 2-0 in claiming a 67-62 overtime win at Colorado Christian and a 71-60 neutral site win over Colorado State Pueblo. Maddox provided a well-balanced performance, collecting 12 rebounds and disrupting the opponents with eight steals, including five vs. CSU-Pueblo. The senior averaged 16.0 points, scoring 20 against CSU-Pueblo, and was a perfect 8-of-8 from the free throw line.
