Guard Andreea Mancha posted a strong week in leading UT Permian Basin in a pair of wins. The senior opened the weekend scoring 15 points in the 95-52 win vs. King (Tenn.). Mancha was on fire against Southwestern Oklahoma State, scoring 26 points on 8-of-12 from the field, including 7-of-10 from three-point range, in the 72-65 win. Mancha averaged 20.5 points shooting .542 from the floor for the two games, adding 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the week.
 
DEFENSIVE
Avalon Munoz, UT Permian Basin, G, Sr., Computer Science, San Antonio, Texas (Edison HS)
Solid defense from Avalon Munoz helped UT Permian Basin in a 2-0 week as the Falcons held King and Southwestern Oklahoma to a combined 34.4 percent field goal shooting and outrebounding the pair by 22, including a 58-27 advantage under the opponent’s basket. Munoz had 13 points, five rebounds and six steals in the 95-52 win over King as her steals led to seven points for UTPB. In the 72-67 win vs. Southwestern Oklahoma Munoz totaled 11 points, five rebounds and three steals.
