Guard Cortaviaus Seales scored 30 points in Western New Mexico's thrilling 80-79 South Central Region victory over New Mexico Highlands, punctuating his performance with the game-winning three-pointer from 30-feet out with 0.4 seconds left. The junior shot 70 percent (12-for-17), including a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range, and added five rebounds.
DEFENSIVE
Larry Wise, West Texas A&M, G, Sr., Sports Management, Waxahachie, Texas (Waxahachie HS)
Larry Wise was a strong presence on the defensive side of the court for West Texas A&M in its 80-62 win over Oklahoma Baptist as the senior guard grabbed eight boards, including five defensive. Wise converted three steals while blocking a shot against the Bison. His 14 points moved Wise to 18th on the Buffs' all-time scoring list.
