LSC Men's Basketball Weekly Release - Week 1

 

After a strong showing in opening weekend tournaments, the Lone Star Conference men's basketball schedule gets busy with all 16 teams in action Friday and Saturday (Nov. 10-11). The schedule includes games vs. South Central Region opponents from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.  ...  LSC teams opened the 2023-24 season compiling a 5-2 record in a pair of Division II Conference Commissioners Association Tipoff Classic tournaments in British Columbia and Lubbock, Texas.

Sean Elkinton, St. Edward's, Forward, So., Business Administration, Crosby, Texas (Crosby HS)
St. Edward's forward Sean Elkinton opened the new season with an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double vs. Seattle Pacific, then scored back-to-back career-highs of 27 and 28 points vs. Western Washington and Simon Fraser to lead the Hilltoppers to a 2-1 mark in the CCA Division II Canadian Tip-Off Classic in Langley, B.C. The sophomore averaged 22 points, going 23-of-36 (.625) from the floor and .750 at the line (15-of-20). Elkinton totaled 21 rebounds (7.0 rpg) and three blocks for the three-game weekend.
