LSC squads will be found from Hawaii to Daytona Beach, Fla., over the busy pre-holiday break week. The December 11-19 stretch includes a mix of conference and non-conference opponents in final preparation for what looks to be competitive LSC play starting December 30.

OFFENSIVE
Zarria Carter, Midwestern State, F, Jr., Criminal Justice, Mansfield, Texas (MHS)
Zarria Carter averaged 26.5 points, 15 rebounds and 3.5 steals to lead Midwestern State in two league road games. She hit the game-winning basket at the buzzer against St. Edward’s to give the Mustangs their first win of the season. Carter had 20 points and 21 rebounds, recording MSU’s first 20-20 game since the 2012-13 season. The 21 boards are the most in the LSC this season and second highest total in NCAA Division II. The forward, who also shot 54.8 from the field, had a 33-point game in a loss to St. Mary’s. She has two of the top four scoring games (34, 33) in the conference in 2023-24.
 
DEFENSIVE
Alexus Quaadman, UT Permian Basin, F, Gr., MBA, Las Vegas, Nev. (Spring Valley HS)
Alexus Quaadman pulled down 19 defensive rebounds and added two steals and a block to lead UT Permian Basin to a pair of LSC wins over Oklahoma Christian and UAFS. Quaadman and company allowed just 64.5 points per game while the forward averaged 10.5 points, 14 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the week. In a thrilling 70-68 game against UAFS, Quaadman had 17 rebounds -- 12 defensive -- and 16 points for her fourth consecutive double-double game of the season.
