Of the 16 Lone Star Conference men’s basketball teams, four remain unbeaten in league play – all West Division teams: Angelo State (5-0), Eastern New Mexico (4-0), Lubbock Christian (4-0) and West Texas A&M (4-0).
 
ASU is on a league-best eight-game winning streak. ENMU, LCU and WT have all won five in a row.
 
ASU (4-0) and UT Permian Basin (5-0) are unbeaten on their home courts.
 
DBU has the league’s top-scoring offense (92.6 points per game), while UTPB is tops in the conference by allowing just 65.7 points per game.
 
Eastern New Mexico senior guard Jahcoree Ealy, the LSC’s leading scorer at 24.1 points per game, was named Division II Conference Information Directors Association’s national men's basketball player of the week.
 
“It is an honor for Jahcoree and our program to be recognized on the national level,” ENMU Head Coach Brent Owen said. “He continues to remain humble and focused on the success of our team. He has been playing some incredible basketball and we are thankful that people across the country are taking notice.”

LSC teams carry a combined 37-32 (.536) record against NCAA Division II opponents through games of Dec. 17. Region-by-region: South Central (RMAC) 20-20; West 2-3; Southeast 1-0; South 1-0; Midwest 1-1; Central 12-8.

OFFENSIVE
Keyshawn Embery-Simpson, Angelo State, G, Gr., Criminal Justice, Midwest City, Okla. (IMG Academy)
Embery-Simpson averaged 18.5 points, three rebounds and two assists to lead nationally-ranked Angelo State to a pair of wins against UT Permian Basin and Rollins. Embery-Simpson also added two blocks and two steals to help the Rams extend their winning streak to eight games. Embery-Simpson hit a combined nine 3-pointers, including five against Rollins. Against UTPB, he was 7-for-12 from the field.
 
DEFENSIVE
Kevon Godwin, Angelo State, G, Sr., Interdisciplinary Studies, Blountstown, Fla. (BHS)
Godwin fueled a 2-0 week and helped nationally-ranked Angelo State extend its winning streak to eight games by averaging 4.5 steals and grabbing six defensive rebounds against UT Permian Basin and Rollins. Godwin also averaged 18 points and five assists over the two games, which the Rams held their opponents to an average of 60 points. Against Rollins, Godwin had seven steals, which is the most by a player in a single game in the LSC this season.
