Kory Schmidt, West Texas A&M, JR, Sports and Exercise Science, INF/C, Liberty Hill, Texas, LHHS
Schmidt went 10-for-17 with two home runs, a triple, a double and seven RBIs to fuel a LSC series win over UT Permian Basin. Schmidt, who went 4-for-4 in the series opener, had multi-hits in all four games and extra base hits in all but one. He also scored five runs, walked once and stole a base.
 
PITCHER
Kade Bragg, Angelo State, JR, Communication, LHP, Ennis, Texas, EHS
Bragg tossed a complete game with seven strikeouts and no walks to lead the nationally-ranked Rams to a conference win over St. Mary’s. Bragg scattered four hits over the seven-inning game and allowed only one unearned run to score. The lefty improved to 7-0 and lowered his ERA to 0.43 – both best marks in the LSC.
