Bouchayby now ranks No. 1 in the world in the 800-meters after posting a 1:45.31 at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. The time was also a Texas Relays record and is the second-ranked mark in NCAA Division II history.
MEN’S FIELD
Devoux Deysel, Angelo State, JR, Computer Science, Garsfontein, South African, Hoerskool Garsfontein
Deysel finished seventh in the javelin at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas with a throw of 244-0 (74.37m). The mark is second overall in NCAA Division II this year and 52nd in the world.
WOMEN’S TRACK
Eleonora Curtabbi, West Texas A&M, SR, Environmental Science, Turin, Italy
Curtabbi became the only athlete to win back-to-back steeplechase races at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. She posted a time of 10:02.60, which ranks tops in NCAA Division II and 14th in the world.
WOMEN’S FIELD
Taylor Nelloms, West Texas A&M, JR, Kinesiology, Humble, Texas, HHS
Nelloms finished second in the triple jump at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas, with a mark of 43-7.25 (13.29m). Her jump is tops in NCAA Division II this season and 17th in the world.
