Notables
 
East and West Division play continues to weekend two and Thursday-Saturday games (Jan. 11, 13).  …  A trio of teams lead the West Division with 2-0 records – UT Permian Basin, Lubbock Christian and Angelo State – but games among the teams will result in the standings. LCU hosts UTPB Thursday and ASU on Saturday.  …  East Division leaders UT Tyler and Texas A&M International take their 3-0 division marks on the road. UTT heads to St. Edward’s and St. Mary’s while TAMIU treks northward to Oklahoma Christian and UAFS.
 
UT Tyler leads all 16 conference teams with a clean 7-0 mark vs. all LSC opponents and is on an 11-game win streak. Texas Woman’s, UTPB, ASU and LCU each carry one loss against conference opponents.

LSC Tournament: Eight teams advance to the 2024 LSC Women's Basketball Tournament scheduled March 8-10 at Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas. The tournament bracket will be announced March 2 following conclusion of the LSC season. To the tournament winner goes the league’s automatic berth in the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship.

OFFENSIVE
Grace Foster, Lubbock Christian, F, Jr., Criminal Justice, Childress, Texas (Chidress HS)
Forward Grace Foster led Lubbock Christian to a 2-0 week opening West Division with road wins at Cameron and Midwestern State, topping Lady Chaparrals scoring (19.5 ppg) and rebounding (9.0 rpg). Foster opened with 18 points, 9 rebounds and a trio of assists vs. CU, before leading LCU to an overtime win at MSU with 21 points, 9 rebounds and six assists. It was the junior's 20th career game with at least 20 points. Foster added 18 rebounds (all defensive) and nine assists to her weekend totals.
 
DEFENSIVE
Ashley Ingram, Texas Woman's, F, Jr., Kinesiology, Bridgeport, Texas (Bridgeport HS)
Forward Ashley Ingram recorded back-to-back double-doubles – her seventh and eighth of the season -- in Texas Woman's LSC wins over UAFS and Oklahoma Christian. The junior recorded two strong defensive performances, tallying 7 steals and 3 blocks in addition to 24 rebounds – 18 on the defensive boards. Ingram averaged 15.5 points shooting 66.7% from the field and connecting on 14-of-14 free throws.
