Lone Star Conference women’s basketball teams face a busy schedule of non-conference competition in the coming week with all 17 teams in action, including Cameron, Oklahoma Christian and Sul Ross State who each have season-opening games.

The weekend South Central Region Challenge saw the LSC post a collective 18-6 record vs. teams from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, a metric important later in the season for spots in the Division II Championship. Eight of the 12 LSC squads participating in the Challenge were 2-0 against their RMAC opponents while two other LSC teams split the weekend games.
