After a light week and break for Thanksgiving holiday, the Lone Star Conference schedule gets underway in earnest with cross division games scheduled Wednesday through Saturday (Dec. 4-7). ... The weekend opens with a battle of unbeatens as West Division leader Lubbock Christian (8-0/2-0 LSC) travels to East Division leading UT Tyler (5-0/1-0 LSC) on Wednesday. Both teams hold spots in the latest Division II national polls. ... Four teams join LCU and UTT with clean conference records with Texas A&M-Kingsville, Eastern New Mexico, Sul Ross State and UT Permian Basin each posting November league wins in games vs. their travel partner.
The first month of the season provided opportunity for LSC teams to face South Central Region rivals from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) in matchups that will figure into Division II postseason tournament regional berths. In the 40 LSC vs. RMAC games, the Lone Star Conference posted a 28-12 (.700) record with four teams unbeaten: LCU (4-0), UT Tyler (3-0), Texas Woman's (3-0) and Eastern New Mexico (3-0).

Forward Grace Foster delivered a 30-point, 12-rebound double-double to lead Lubbock Christian in a comeback win over Southwestern Oklahoma State and hand SWOSU its first loss of the season. The senior spearheaded the Lady Chaps' rally by scoring the first 14 LCU points of the fourth quarter and tallying 19 points in the second half. Foster shot an efficient 64.7 percent from the field (11-of-17) and 5-of-9 from three-point range, while recording her third 30-point career performance. Defensively, she finished with four blocks and 10 of her game-high 12 rebounds on the defensive boards.
DEFENSIVE
Taylor Haggan, West Texas A&M, F, So., International Business, Parker, Texas
Sophomore forward Taylor Haggan was dominant in the paint for West Texas A&M as it picked up South Central regional wins over Adams State and New Mexico Highlands during the WT Thanksgiving Classic. Haggan collected 25 rebounds – 18 defensive, three steals and a block as Haggan helped WT hold the two opponents to a combined 56.5-point average on .326 field goal shooting. Haggan posted a career-best 16 rebounds and season-high 18 points vs. NMHU for her first WT double-double, finishing the weekend shooting 7-of-14 (.500) from the floor and 6-of-8 (.750) from the line.
