No. 4-ranked West Texas A&M (22-8 overall) is on top of the standings at 21-7, followed by Lubbock Christian (20-10, 19-9) and No. 11 Angelo State (22-11, 21-11). However, no team in the league is hotter than Texas A&M-Kingsville (21-13, 19-13), which has won eight in a row. The Javelinas have swept UAFS and Oklahoma Christian. TAMUK travels to face St. Mary’s this weekend.

Angelo State righty Dax Dathe is on top of the league stats with six wins and 65 strikeouts. UT Permian Basin righty Brock Robarts has seven saves to lead the league.
St. Mary’s play-by-play announcer Rob Shadow has started a podcast called, “Baseball in the Lone Star Conference.” The first six episodes are available on Spotify. ASU was the top pick in the
LSC preseason poll. ASU junior outfielder Jacob Guerrero and senior right-hander Braxton Pearson were named
LSC Preseason Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively.
The LSC Baseball Championship will be compiled of the top eight teams based on conference standings. The top four seeds will host opening-round, best-of-three series on May 3-5 at their home parks. The winners will advance to a double elimination tournament on May 9-11 hosted by the top remaining seed.
