The conference is compiled of 11 men’s teams and 12 women’s squads. Angelo State, Cameron, DBU, Eastern New Mexico, Lubbock Christian, Oklahoma Christian, St. Edward’s, Texas A&M-Kingsville, UT Tyler, West Texas A&M and Western New Mexico have men’s and women’s teams. The 2024 LSC Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held May 9-11 at 1st Community Credit Union Field at LeGrand Stadium in San Angelo, Texas hosted by Angelo State. West Texas A&M has swept the men’s and women’s conference titles the last three years.
The NCAA Division II Championships are set for May 23-25 at Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kan.

MEN’S TRACK
Isaac Botsio, West Texas A&M, So., Sports and Exercise Science, Takoradi, Ghana (Ghana Secondary Technical School)
Botsio posted an NCAA Division II provisional time of 10.28 in the 100 meters to finish fifth at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. Botsio, whose time ranks third in the country, finished behind only NCAA Division I opponents. His preliminary time was a personal-best 10.05, which also ranked in the top 10 in program history.
MEN’S FIELD
Thomas Nieto, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Jr., Industrial Management & Applies Engineering Technology, Ibague, Colombia
Nieto posted the top pole vault mark in all of NCAA Division II this season with a 17-8.5 (5.40m) at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. Nieto’s provisional mark placed him in fourth place, behind only NCAA Division I and professional competition. He was just .07m off his personal best.
WOMEN’S TRACK
UT Tyler 4x400 Meter Relay Team: Kamaria Carr, Jasmine Haywood, Isabel Jakobsen, Aerin Thompson
UT Tyler’s 4x400 meter relay team of Kamaria Carr, Jasmine Haywood, Isabel Jakobsen, and Aerin Thompson put together a weekend that included a school record, silver medals and second fastest time in all of NCAA Division II. The team posted a provisional time of 3:44.32 at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas before topping that and recording a 3:40.25 to finish second at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas.
WOMEN’S FIELD
Miriam Zanovello, West Texas A&M, Gr., Chemistry, Chivasso, Italy (Uceo Scientifico Isaac Newton)
Zanovello posted a season-best 40’ 1.5” (12.23m) in the triple jump at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. Her NCAA Division II provisional jump ranks eighth in the country. She finished seventh at the NCAA Division I-heavy event and was the top Division II finisher.
